Bhagaban Bishnu

The International sand artist and animator Sri Manas Kumar Sahoo, on the eve of ensuring year 2014 has prepared a sand sculpture of Lord Bishnu at the Golden Sea Beach, Puri and distance of 65km from Bhubaneswar the Capital of Odisha. Lord Bishnu is originator of the universe, all the animals living beings including mankind and each and every items of the world. The Lord protects us from all evils, punishes criminal & culprit and is the source of all kind of peace & happiness. On Christmas made a four dimensional European art covering not only the massage of protecting women but also to pay due regard and respect for them. But on the occasion of the New Year Mr. Sahoo wants that Lord Bishnu to give protection to the mankind by giving health, happiness & peace of mind.
On New Year generally people greet each other and respect peace and happiness, but sand artist Mr. Sahoo wants that Lord Bishnu who has created us to provide all kinds of peace & happiness to all. The sculpture is a 12 ft. standing statue of Lord Bishnu, using 20 tons. of sand by labour of 20 hours. In this preparation he has assisted by Miss Monalisa Sahoo, Miss Itishree Sahoo and Mr. Chitta Ranjan Mohanty.

She Can Do It Too.

Sri Manas Kumar Sahoo, Internationally popular in sand art and sand animation has received a number of awards at the competition of different countries as well as in different places in India. Recently on 14th December 2013 he has received Bharat Excellence Award & Rashtrya Ratan Award at New Delhi. Mr. Sahoo has prepared a sand art show, for the first time introduce in India of a completely European style consisting of various 4 dimensional European style art. The art show organized on the eve of Christmas shows a number of sculptures on the present position of women in recent time and on the topic of respect for women. Each sculpture is height of about 10ft to 15ft and total sand use in these sculpture are about 100 tones and labour of 50 hours the art prepared by Mr. Sahoo was assisted by his students Monalisa Sahoo, Chittaranjan Mohanty, Itishree Sahoo.
Now days, Christmas is observed worldwide. It is believed the Santa Clause gifts provide peace and happiness to different people of the World but Sri Sahoo wants to observe this day completely new Idea of paying respect & prestige to the women. In ancient time as well as now days the women have brought prestige and glory to the country. In spite of that there are occasion where women are brutally harass which is resulting in shame for the country for a fault and a mal treatment by a few people the nation and whole society is blame. The presence circumstance of India therefore requires treating the ladies with due respect and care.
The sand artist Mr. Manas Ku Sahoo frequently conduct different awareness programme involving current issues like polio, HIV AIDS ,Save olive readly tortoise, movement against sexual harassment, human rights, tribute to tsunami, Phailin victim tribute to Nelson Mandela, J.K. Gujral etc. and also about different festivals like Ratha yatra ,Durga puja, Kali puja etc.

The art show site was visited by foreign tourist, local people and art and culture lovers. They appreciated the unique idea of the artist of observing Christmas by paying due regards, care and respect for women.

World Human Rights Day

On the eve of World Human Rights Day which is being observed today i.e.10th December as human rights day .Even in the 20th century people in different countries as struggling for fundamental human rights of equity, freedom, peace, hope, dignity, rule of law, prosperity, justice, though equality of treatment in all respect should have been followed. For the observance of all these human rights to enlighter the reputed international sand artist & sand animator Mr. Manas Kumar Sahoo as prepared a sand sculpture relating to Human Rights in the golden sea beach, near light house of Puri and 65k.m distance of capital of Odisha. The artist Sahoo has created the sand sculpture with sand of 20tones of 11ft height. Human rights are thus conceived as universal and egalitarian. These rights may exist as natural rights or as legal rights, in local, regional ,national, and international law The doctrine of human rights in international practice, within international law, global and regional institutions, in the policies of states and in the activities of non-governmental organizations, has been a cornerstone of public policy around the world. The idea of human right states, “if the public discourse of peacetime global society can be said to have a common moral language, it is that of human rights.” Despite this, the strong claims made by the doctrine of human rights continue to provoke considerable skepticism and debates about the content, nature and justifications of human rights to this day.
On viewing the artistic beauty and the noble purpose behind the construction of the sand sculpture visitors, foreigners, people of locality & all the lovers of art & sculpture has praised this creation of the artist.

World Tourism Day

27th September 2013, The worldwide celebration of “World Tourism Day”, encouraged the reputed international sand artist Mr Manas Kumar Sahoo to create a sand sculpture at the golden sea beach of Puri, distance of 65 km from Bhubaneswar the capital city of Odisha.

Since 1980, the United Nations World Tourism Organisation is celebrating “World Tourism Day” on September 27. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness on the role of tourism within the international community and to demonstrate how it affects social, cultural, political and economic values worldwide. The development of science and technology & speedy transport has brought the people of different nations to come closer to each other. This has resulted in people moving from state to state as tourist to come closer and know each other’s habit, taste and culture.
The artist Mr Manas Kumar Sahoo has prepared Statue of liberty, Tower of Pisa, Eiffel tower, Big Ben, Taj Mahal, Lotus temple etc. about 10 ft height, and by using tones of sand. In this single sculpture Mr. Sahoo has shown different reputed monuments & towers of different countries to indicate closure of each other by development of tourism. The nice idea of this preparation is appreciated by lover of art and culture, visitors, tourist & people of locality. By preparing this sculpture the artist also wants to give the message of “World Tourism Day”.

Mahatma Buddha

In view of the worldwide celebration of World Peace day, the renowned international sand artist in sand sculpture Sri Manas Kumar Sahoo has created a sand sculpture at the height of 12ft of Lord Buddha, an eminent prophet and propagator of peace. In this sculpture Lord Buddha is shown giving the message worldwide peace. All the nations of world have now facing the common problem of violence and terrorism etc which adversely affects the international peace and brotherhood. Most of the state has suspicious of the action of other nation. They require goal of each person or state each to maintain and aspire for peace which will ultimately result in prosperity and balance and growth. The present motto of each person is international peace.
By this sand sculpture the artist wants to give the message of peace. This sculpture has been prepared at the golden sea beach near light house, Puri at the distance of 65 km from Bhubaneswar the capital of Odisha. The lovers of art as well as foreign tourist and local people have visited the site and highly admire the preparation and intention of the artist for world peace.
